The 3nd Annual Rockbridge Pie Festival will be held on September 16, 2012.

The exact schedule of activities will be available here by late summer 2012.

For illustrative purposes only, here was the schedule for our 2011 festival...

9:00 am-10:30 am     

Contestants submit pies for judging.

9:00 am                     

Mincemeat Mile Swim. Held outside at the Lexington City Pool or inside in case of inclement weather.

11:00 am                    

Pie judging begins.

12:00 - 7:00 pm       

Pool Open for family fun & children's games and activities. Face painting, Slip and Slide, Relays, Mud pie making, Tie-dyeing, and much more messy delightful fun.

Pie stand opens. Home-made pies will be available by the slice or whole. Coconut Cream, Blueberry-Peach with a Pecan Crumb Topping, Lemon Chess, Irene's Apple Pie, Deep Dish Blackberry Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Five Fruit Pie, Strawberry Rhubarb, Pecan Caramel Apple, Deb's Chocolate Pie, Frozen Key Lime and more!

HARVEST MEAL. Delicious food will be available all day. Pork Barbecue, Tasty Baked Chicken, Corn Bread, Potato Salad, Slaw, and other seasonal offerings. All of it is HOMEMADE from SCRATCH!

Kids Pie-Baking led by Claire Gunner from 1pm-4pm in the Home Ec room at MRMS. Children can come anytime between 1-3:30. Rolling admission. Each child will make a mini-pie and pie-pops. a $5 donation to cover expenses is appreciated.
